PLAY 2: Audiovisual Performance Night.

PLAY 2 presents three audiovisual performances at Studio-Théâtre des Grands Ballets in Montréal, kicking off at 2:00 pm on Sunday, August 30, 2026, as part of MUTEK Montréal 2026. Jenn Mong & Trevor Van de Velde (CA/QC + US) open with "COCKPIT" in its world premiere — a fusion of concert piano and custom electronics, combining Mong's improvisatory pianism with Van de Velde's instrument-building expertise from New York City. Paul Vivien (FR), based between Montreal and Rennes, presents "L'Harmonie De Notre Absence", an imaginative journey through post-human landscapes rendered via hacked technology and rotating dioramas. Super Galaxy Meow Meow (TW + CA/UK + NZ/UK) closes with "Reciprocity", a live feedback loop between laser visuals by Tom Hulland and bass-driven sound by producer WAWA, blurring the line between audiovisual input and output.
