bakery pastry

Craqueline is the story of two cousins, Bertille and Mélissa, linked by their grandmother Jacqueline — a passionate cook and pastry maker who always ended festive meals with a Saint-Honoré. That memory of crisp pastry, soft choux, crackly caramel, and delicate vanilla cream became the heart of the project: the wish that a single bite could carry you back to childhood. After ten years training in pastry, chocolate, and gastronomic and Michelin-starred kitchens, Bertille launched the shop and Mélissa soon joined her. The name is a playful nod to the craquelin that crowns a cream puff and a tribute to Jacqueline herself.

Every day, the team makes a wide range of choux à la crème by hand, following the seasons so flavors rotate throughout the year. Current options include vanilla, chocolate, caramel, coffee, yuzu lemon, praliné, pistachio, and passion fruit, with more to come — available individually (€3.10) or in a box of six (€18). For special occasions, made-to-order sharing specialties can be reserved 48 hours ahead, including the classic Saint-Honoré with Madagascar vanilla and salted-butter vanilla caramel, or the "Saint Ho' of the moment" in flavors chosen by the chef, in sizes from 3-4 up to 6-8 servings.

Craqueline takes a responsible, short-supply-chain approach, carefully choosing quality local partners such as organic flour from the Moulin de Sauret in Montpellier, fresh eggs from the Pic Saint-Loup, and Valrhona chocolate. It's also a tea room and café, offering a broad choice of hot and cold drinks to enjoy on the spot or take away, created with regional makers like Café Bun, Si le thé m'était conté, SIBIO juices, and BB Kombucha — the perfect companions to a little bite of nostalgia.
