Fitzpatrick's Irish
Pub.

pub

Fitzpatrick's is one of the most popular and busiest bars in the city — a great central base if you're visiting, just a stone's throw from Place de la Comédie in the heart of Montpellier's historic centre. It's a family-run pub, and that shows in everything: hospitality, friendly service, and good fun are the order of the day. Drop in, make yourself comfortable, settle in with a creamy pint of Guinness from Dublin and the newspapers, meet up with friends, catch some sun, or watch one of the major sporting events on the screens.

For more than twenty years, the team here has worked to create a true home from home for everyone — whether you're living in Montpellier, studying, working, or just passing through. A combination of great drinks, a friendly English- and French-speaking team, and a well-designed bar all add up to a unique Irish atmosphere in the city. The drinks are taken seriously: the Guinness is stored and served like a fine wine, and there's a discerning selection of premium draft beers, stouts, and lagers, plus a full array of Irish whiskeys for every occasion — enjoyed at the bar, sunk into the couch over a board game, or out basking in the sun on the terrace.

Sport is a real passion at Fitzpatrick's, and they show all the major world events via live satellite feeds — football, rugby, tennis, cycling, cricket, Gaelic football, hurling, Formula One, and plenty more. Wherever you are in the pub, there's a flat screen nearby, and if there's a particular match or event you're hoping to catch, just ask at the bar and they'll always try to accommodate. Note for visitors: the pub doesn't close at lunchtime — there might be an important match on!

There's also live music. Fitzpatrick's now hosts regular traditional Irish music and dancing — "craic agus ceol," as they say in Irish. If you fancy some trad and a bit of a dance, drop in on Thursdays after 10pm; ask at the bar or keep an eye on the chalkboards for the next session.

From World Cup matches and live music nights to St. Patrick's Day celebrations, there's never a dull day here. The pub welcomes all sorts of gatherings too — networking meetings, book launches, English conversation meet-ups — and you can even organise your own party; just call the pub or drop them an email to find out more.

Open every day from just after noon until late (around 1am), whether it's a quiet drink after work, an afternoon match, or a full-on weekend party, making sure you're having a good time is what Fitzpatrick's is all about.
