Le FaV is a wine and cheese bar built on one simple, joyful idea: bread, wine, and cheese — what else? At 16 rue Diderot in Montpellier, it's the kind of place where a carefully chosen selection of the best products meets perfect pairings (or not!) — opposites that attract and flavours that fuse together. The whole point is to share their favourites and make sure you have a lovely time.
Behind it all are Anne-Sophie and Jérôme, two wine-and-cheese enthusiasts — one originally from Lorraine, the other from the Paris region — who put their own coups de cœur front and centre. The result is warm, personal, and unpretentious: a spot to settle in over a great glass and a beautiful plate, in good company.
There's always something happening, too. The week's anchor is La FaV Jam, an eclectic live music night (Tuesdays at 8:30pm), and the calendar fills out with playful one-offs — a Casino du Vin where you taste, bet, and try to win the jackpot, Bingo nights, and Stand-Up comedy evenings with a lineup of comedians, entry free with a hat passed round. And if you'd like the place to yourself, it's available for private events — apéros, seminars, parties with colleagues or friends, shows, or live music. Just come and have a chat with them about it.
